‘Get Out’ Opening Chicago Audiences Eyes to Underlying Stories on Race

Race and what it represents in film can open your eyes to views and feelings you may or may not have felt. The 2017 film ‘Get Out’ raised several questions about what race really means in current day America and the horrors that can come with it. Real Chi Youth Reporter Naquesha Richardson spoke with two African American students and an associate professor of the Cinema Arts and Sciences Department at Columbia College Chicago to get their perspective on what race-related images they saw within the film.
