Being a part of Real Chi Youth has been a great experience. My biggest success has been to be able to report on LGBTQ youth through “LGBT Non-Profits Students Face Mental Health Gap”, which is something I have been wanting to do for the past two years. It was in this piece also that I faced my greatest challenges of having to learn how to edit with Final Cut Pro and writing/recording a voice over; all which where new to me. Thankfully, I had a great partner, Sidney Trotter, who was there supporting me through the process full of positivity. For the summer, I plan on continuing to better my editing skills and being full of positivity in frustrating times the way Sidney was for me.
