My Real Chi Experience: Kumari Mason

My Real Chi Youth experience has been pretty cool. Over the last six weeks I have learned so much, and acquired new skills that I didn’t have before. When I first started this program I had no clue how to work cameras other than the one on my cell phone. I was one of the “less experienced” kids when it came to video and audio recording, and if it wasn’t for this program I probably would have never learned.  Writing and interviewing was my strong point, and I must say that I even improved on those skills as well.

I also met some pretty cool people during these six weeks, including my co-workers. For those who want to be a part of this program I would say you need to have a lot of patience with this job because sometimes things don’t go the way you want them to. Before this I never knew that so much could be done with social media–that’s my biggest take away.  I really enjoyed this program and I would do it again
