Chicagoans Speak Out on Martin-Zimmerman Trial

A Florida jury reached its verdict in the Trayvon Martin case: George Zimmerman was found not guilty.  Following the decision, discussion around race and self-defense as it relates to the trial has gotten heated.

Real Chi Youth took to the streets of downtown Chicago, asking if citizens agreed with the verdict of Zimmerman. Reporters also asked Chicago youth what they thought about the verdict and if the ruling impacted them. According to the youth, the Trayvon Martin issue does affect them, and according to other citizens, they are tired of all the racial stereotypes going on in society.
